QA Analyst

Resource 1 is in need of a QA Analyst with at least 5 years of experience testing applications, preferably within the Financial Services Industry (brokerage, Stock Exchange). The applicant must have proficient knowledge of Linux as well as past experience testing on Linux platforms. The preferred candidate should have a strong, methodical approach to problem solving and a good understanding of the FIX protocol. The incumbent must also have an understanding of SDLC process within a fast paced multi-tiered architectural environment. Theoretical and analytical skills are a must. Along with excellent organizational skills, individual must have the ability to multi-task between several different tasks that involve data script entry, designing test cases, and executing test scenarios in a highly automated environment.

Responsibilities will include; participating in cross-functional teams for specific product development efforts, developing and executing unit and integration test cases and scripts for each specific product group, working across multiple cross-functional teams to roll-up all unit and integration tests to execute full system, interface, and end-to-end testing, managing defect-tracking processes, providing/generating reports of tests and test results from regular builds to the test lead, working with the Project Manager/Senior QA Engineer to oversee system packaging and deployment processes, writing baseline test specifications, functional test cases, test specifications for a sub-area of a project or test results for an area or test pass and bug reproduction cases and scenarios.
