Title: Python Support Guru

Compensation: up to $100/hour

Location: Mountain View, CA

The Imaging Camera Systems group is looking for programmers with skills developing python/software tooling to interact with hardware. This role could be suited for someone a year or two out of school given relevant experience, or more senior.

Responsibilities include:

- Writing, documenting, and maintaining Python code
- Design drivers to talk with hardware such as Agilent power supplies and various meters over GPIB, serial, USB, etc.
- Take over and improve existing codebases (including bug fixes)

We are looking for someone with the following skill set:

- Python expert (several years of experience)
- Previous experience interfacing with Python communication protocols (eg, gpib, serial, etc.), ideally in a laboratory or research/production environment
- Experience writing test procedures

Additional nice to have:

- Lab or production environment experience a plus
- C/C++ experience
- QT experience
- Data visualization experience is a plus, but not required
