MY DUTIES:

-Provide programming support
-Develop and operate power market models to provide market analysis for trading activities as well as for strategic decision making
-Prepare the move to a new model
-Develop a concept for a new data model to handle the massive amount of data
-Implement the new data model: move data from old GAMS code and Excel into the new data environment
-Program modules for the new data model (Python)
-Develop clean, comprehensive and maintainable model code

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

-Solid knowledge in Python/Pandas, AzureSQL, Apache Cassandra NoSQL, Docker Container
-Fluent in English
-Project management experience
-Know-how regarding Azure-based analytics platform
-GAMS and Power BI know-how is beneficial
-Ability to work in a very structured way to develop clean, easy to maintain code
-Strong analytical skills
-Good communicator and team player

-One of the models has reached the end of its life-time. The model is GAMS (General Algebraic Modeling System) based, with a lot of Excel-based data – partly in a very poor state
