Python & Perl Developer

We are currently searching for a SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER to work in Lausanne area, Switzerland. This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-national client.

The candidate will be responsible for developing bioinformatic pipelines to process raw data received from DNA sequencing machines and creating results files for further analysis by statisticians.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- PERL and Python coding skills
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Mongo DB
- MySQL data
- Ideally an understanding of bioinformatics and/or Life Sciences

KEY DELIVERABLES:

- Develop scripts
- Test against live system using test data
- Convert existing bioinformatic scripts to Python/Perl

- Debug/optimize solutions
