Python & Django Developer

ROLE

I require an experienced senior developer to lead our team of Django developers in our Manchester office.

Working alongside the senior design architect you will be controlling a small but dedicated team in the development and enhancement of a cross platform product with a large customer base. Your experience in leading a development team will require you to play a pivotal role in all key decisions affecting the future advancement of the product, in communicating your ideas to the rest of the team and also conducting daily senior code reviews. This role will require experience with Agile methodology and the ScrumMaster role, Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration Servers (CIS), code review procedure and advanced version control structure (GIT).

SKILL SET REQUIRED

Experience in team leadership on agile programmes

Excellent knowledge of Python

Unit test experience

Commercial experience

PREFERENTIAL

Knowledge of the Django infrastructure.

Knowledge of Qt application framework and PyQt.

To be interviewed by Kevin Williams (Programme Development Manager) and Fred Thompson (Senior Developer) - interview form - a general discussion to learn a little bit more about the person and gauge his leadership experience. There will be a test which will take the format of a brief written test.
