Python Developer - Banking and Finance - Contract

The client is seeking a talented developer to work in the Enterprise Capital Management Technology team. The candidate will work as part of a global team with colleagues in Ireland, the UK and the US on the Global Regulatory platform. As a key member of the team you will be expected to analyse requirements, design and implement solutions to fulfil business and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will work within a Python based environment and offers the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies used in banking and finance. Key technologies you will be exposed to in this exciting role are Python, Flask micro-framework, MS SQL Server and SSIS/SSRS. Knowledge of either relational or object databases is also a requirement.

The role offers opportunities to learn about technologies used in finance as well as ongoing training and the opportunity to work with and learn from technologists who are experienced in delivering successful enterprise scale solutions.

Requirements
* Degree/Masters or equivalent experience
* 3+ years post-qualification technical work experience
* Experience in banking/finance sector a plus

Technical Skills
* Good knowledge of at least one OO programming language

* Knowledge of Python
* REST web services
* Basic design patterns and OOP
* Good knowledge of Web development
