DUBLIN, IRELAND 6 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT WITH A LEADING INVESTMENT BANK

- We are looking for a talented developer to work in the Model Risk Technology team.
- The developer should be experienced in an OO language and be interested in working in one of the most interesting parts of one of the world's largest banks.
- The successful candidate should have some knowledge of databases, HTML, JAVASCRIPT/JQUERY AND REST.
- Any Object Oriented database experience would be a big plus.
- Knowledge of Python.
- This exciting role, based in our Central Park office, is well suited to strong developers with a keen interest in new technologies and investment banking.
- The candidate will work in the Model Risk technology team and will be contributing to some of the most significant risk projects in the organisation.
- The role includes interactions with multiple business groups (Front Office, Middle Office, Model Validators, and Finance etc).
- The successful candidate will work in a global team with colleagues in Ireland, the UK and the US.
- It offers opportunities to learn about technologies used in banking as well as ongoing training and the opportunity to work with and learn from technologists who are experienced in delivering successful large scale solutions.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- Degree/Masters or equivalent by experience
- Technical work experience
- Experience in Banking/Finance businesses a plus
- EXPERIENCE WITH PYTHON
- EXPERIENCE OF JAVASCRIPT/WEB DEVELOPMENT

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF AN OO LANGUAGE
- Good knowledge of databases
- REST Web services
- Basic design patterns and OOP
