Python/C++ Software Consultant

Proteus Europe is searching for a Python/C++ Software Consultant for a 180 day contract role based in Antwerp; Belgium. (Fluent Dutch language is an Asset)

Your New role:-

Earth observation within the unit we are looking for a software consultant who can assist us in the development of the Global Country Copernicus service. The evolution is to develop new algorithms of Essential Climate Variables integrate on a global scale and automatic image processing to adjust chains and improve/optimize.

Binnen de unit Aardobservatie zoeken we een software consultant die ons bij kan staan in de evolutie van de Copernicus Global Land service. De evolutie bestaat erin nieuwe algoritmes van Essentiele Klimaat Variabelen op een globale schaal te integreren en automatische beeldverwerkings ketens aan te passen en te verbeteren/optimalizeren.

Your Skills and experience:-

Essential Skills:-
- a senior profile, which can work independently in a complex technical environment and critically analyze the changes in the algorithms, implementation and testing.
- Excellent knowledge of C ++, Python, SQL. The contract is essentially an integration and verification mission. Existing Python workflows with interfaces to a database (SQL) and C ++ modules must be adjusted. Experience with python2.7, h5py, numpy and scipy is a must. Experience with pandas and matplotlib is an asset.
- Both the development environment and the operational environment to work on Linux Centos7. Knowledge and thorough experience with this OS is a must. Experience in cluster/parallel computing is an asset.
- Understanding and experience in setting up and testing of automated processing workflows is a must in the context of image processing. Experience with remote sensing data is an asset.
- We are looking for a - senior- profile, which can work independently in a complex technical environment and critically analyze the changes in the algorithms, implementation and testing.
