Must have an excellent level in C++ development Excellent level of Python. Object Oriented Design, design patterns and System Architecture. Linux. SQL Database. design. At least 7 years hands on' IT experience with design experience of production multi-tier systems. Practical experience of Software Engineering principles.

The role will involve 50/50 split of C++ and Python so both skill must be equally strong.

Desirables:

Object Oriented databases. Experience using code profiling tools. Boost experience. WebSphere MQ, ZeroMQ. Python Django and Twisted experience.

Role:

The successful Senior C++ Python Developer will be in charge of delivering production ready business features and peer reviewing other team member's work. The management structure is project oriented which means taking ownership of all phases of a project (design, implementation, testing).

Particular attention will be paid to the ability to turn specifications into industrial strength software solutions within the in house Credit Derivatives risk and PL warehouse architectural framework.

A proportion of your time will need to be spent on more general software issues related to system efficiency, functional architecture, system maintenance

Developers are asked to work in a high pressure and intellectually demanding environment where the emphasis is put on both delivering features to users in a timely manner yet ensuring the platform remains reliable and scalable.

The in house Credit Derivatives risk and PL warehouse uses the following technologies:

C++, Python, Linux, Windows, Object Oriented database (ObjectStore), SQL Database (Oracle, Postgres).
