PV SUPPORT ROLE

VETERINARY NURSE, VETERINARY NURSING, PV, ANIMAL HEALTH, PHARMACEUTICAL, PHARMACOVIGILANCE, RCVS

3 DAYS PER WEEK (PART TIME) C. £25,000 PRO RATA (IE; UP TO £15,000 FOR 3 DAYS PER WEEK OVER THE 12 MONTH PERIOD)

The position is for 12 month period and part time for 2.5 to 3 days per week

A MARKET LEADER is looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse to join their animal health division to assist with investigation, recording and reporting of Pharmacovigilance cases. You will work closely with veterinary surgeons and technical support team in relation to pharmacovigilance processes. In addition, you will effectively liaise with customers, including veterinary surgeons, pharmacists, SQPs, distributors and end-users regarding suspected adverse reaction cases and other pharmacovigilance processes.

The ideal candidate will have a Veterinary Nursing qualification but candidates with a science or animal health qualification with experience of working within a veterinary practice will also be seriously considered. It's essential that you are reliable and able to work unsupervised.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist with the investigation, recording and reporting of suspected adverse reaction cases and other issues related to the use of products
- Enter and maintain records of incoming reports of suspected adverse reactions using appropriate software
- Develop a detailed knowledge of technical aspects of animal products and a general understanding of disease conditions appropriate to their use
- Develop a detailed understanding of pharmacovigilance processes and regulatory requirements related to the role, particularly the recording and reporting timelines that must be adhered to

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Qualified Veterinary Nurse - ideal
- Good written and verbal communication skills essential
- An empathetic phone manner is important
- Ability to work to rigid timelines is essential
- Some IT skills are required (training will be provided)
