Purification Specialist

Duties:

Perform protein purification at manufacturing scale. In addition, perform qualification assays for bulk cell paste, purified proteins, and diluted bulks. Perform inventory transactions, track labor utilization, document test results and labor, multitask for productivity. Create or amend manufacturing documents and populate team spreadsheets with required data.

Skills:

Knowledge of Molecular biology/biochemistry, protein purification - GE AKTA system knowledge preferred, Unicorn software, practical understanding of good lab practices. Experience packing chromatography columns, and buffer preparation. Analytical thinking, ability to work in a team, strong documentation skills, work independently, prior molecular and cell biology experience, be resourceful, aseptic techniques, regulated environment experience. Assays performed include contamination, enzyme activity, concentration. Will require working with radioisotopes, (P32). Flexible to work overtime as needed.

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in a biological field + 3 years experience, or combination of education and experience. Master's Degree with limited experience is also acceptable.
