Purchasing Officer

Our Perth based client requires a Purchasing Officer with a background or experience in Mobile Devices to join their large and busy existing team.

Exceptional Customer Service, Technical and Interpersonal skills a must!

This role is for an initial 3 month contract with possibility of extension opportunities.

PURCHASING:

- Purchases all IT goods & services relating to mobile devices, software and applications for the client.
- Coordinates mobile carrier contracts and calls for quotes for goods and services up to $150,000.
- Provides reports and recommendations relating to mobile devices based on information obtained from suppliers in line with the clients standards.
- Undertakes research tasks on product information such as IT computerization, technological change & model variations.

ASSET MANAGEMENT:

- Responsible for Asset Management relating to mobile devices (telephony and data) and maintains the asset management register.
- Provides management and customer reports of current relating to mobile devices.
- Responsible for the validity of inventory management system.
- Maintains asset information systems, in regards to additions, retirements, transfers and relocations of mobile devices.
- Maintains a close working relationship and coordinates activities as required with the IT purchasing officer L3.

LICENSING:

- Responsible for all software licensing issues relating to mobile devices.
- Manages the annual re-licensing process and renewals of Maintenance contracts.
- Provides management reports relating to software relating to mobile devices.

ADMINISTRATION:

- Prepares equipment for disposal.
- Schedules the outsourcing of faulty equipment and maintaining warranty information.
- Coordinates carrier contracts and prepares invoices for payment.
- Liaises with Registry to maintain correct documentation.
