Purchasing Assistant Job

PURCHASING ASSISTANT needed for a contract hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Creve Coeur, MO.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business related field or at least eight (8) years of experience.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- Knowledge of basic procurement processes and concepts preferred

What You'll Be Doing:
- Executes Purchase Orders for goods and services in SAP with Suppliers
- Provides a high level of customer service to stakeholders
- Conducts follow-up with suppliers to ensure receipt of Purchase Orders
- Expedites delivery of goods and services to support business owners requirements
- Resolve receipt and invoice discrepancies
- Tactfully explains and enforces internal policies and procedures as necessary
- Back-up other Purchasing Assistants as needed
- Support Procurement Team projects and initiatives
- Support Procurement Hotline/Mailbox

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business related field or at least eight (8) years of experience.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- Knowledge of basic procurement processes and concepts preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Acts with strong results orientation and sense of urgency
- Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Solid strong written and verbal communication skills
