Purchasing and Procurement Coordinator

Turns out that the path to world domination involves buying, shipping and tracking lots of stuff. We're seeking a PURCHASING AND PROCUREMENT ADMINISTRATOR to help keep productivity flowing. Are you a master at organization? Is your sock drawer sorted by not only color, but also age and relative whiteness? Do you know the difference between a crossover cable and a rollover cable? If this sounds like you, perhaps you are the right fit for our IT purchasing position.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Ordering, receiving and inventory control for a very active IT department
- Software license tracking and maintenance renewals for dozens of different packages
- Domain name and certificate renewals and monthly reports on status of names
- Assisting IT and facilities staff with procurement and submission of monthly expenses
- Managing RMA's and tracking replacements
- Vendor price cross validation and some minor negotiation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Great communication and documentation skills
- Ability to manage shipping and receiving to/from multiple locations and familiarity with all the major shipping carriers processes
- Familiarity with parts and terminology in information technology and datacenter jargon
- Experience working with external vendors and keeping them honest
- Belief that all things in the universe should have order, especially mice, wire ties, velcro and USB cables
- Ability to read and scan End User License Agreements for wrong/overreaching language
- Understanding of the different approaches to software licensing (per seat, per user, etc.)
- Familiarity with domain registration and renewals
- Ability to research parts and work with technical staff to get the right fiddly bits
- Experience ordering and tracking software licensing

Length: 10 months + with the possible conversion to FTE.
