PURCHASING ANALYST

DURATION: 12-month contract (W2); possible extension to 2 years; possible conversion to FTE

CLIENT: One of the country's largest health care and health plan providers

HOURS: M-F 8am - 5pm; no overtime

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The analyst will be responsible for submitting and tracking requisitions for capital and operating expense purchases for the IT Network Services utilizing the OneLink application.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Processes requests for purchase requisitions and purchase orders for all Network Services' purchases
- Reviews requests for deficiencies; works with requestor to resolve any incomplete or erroneous information
- Enters requisition into Onelink
- Monitors process, ensuring all requisitions are converted to purchase orders by the committed date
- Supports emergency requests
- Develops, maintains, and distributes weekly reports tracking requisitions, purchase orders, and receipt statuses

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School diploma or GED; 2 or 4 year degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
- 2 to 5 years of related experience
- Basic typing and data entry skills
- Proficiency with MS Excel with ability to do pivot tables and simple vlookups
- Understanding of basic financial concepts desirable
- Onelink experience highly desirable
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in coordinating multiple tasks in a work/project environment
- Experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management highly desirable
- Good customer service skills
