We are pleased to be recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk on behalf of one of Europe's leading airlines. Based at the head office of this FTSE 100 E-commerce company, they have a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Team Leader, you will be responsible for the preparation of invoices for payment in accordance with company's designated procedures and controls and ensuring payments are made in a timely manner whilst in accordance with agreed supplier payment terms. Also in remit will be the managing of key supplier accounts which will include fuel, airport handlers, maintenances and accounts which incur late payment charges. Invoices and credit notes will need to be posted into the purchase ledger system and will adhere to procedures for tax control and input validation outlined by the business. Any of these which cannot be processed will need to be referred to the correct Purchase Order (PO) originator for resolution. During the referral process, you will be required to monitor and escalate any issues which arise with the support of the Team Leader and Purchase Ledger Manager. In addition to this, any queries with the PO originator and suppliers will be resolved by you on a timely basis (usually within a 5 day rotation) and along with Finance and Procurement, provide an efficient and effective service for the business. In addition to this, you will review ways of working and support process enhancements on a continual based plus maintain and input into the process documentation for the purchase ledger function.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Must have previous senior accounts payable experience managing key supplier accounts in a fast paced and high volume environment with familiarity and previous use of Agresso advantageous but not essential
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF) and PowerPoint
- Have an excellent telephone manner and customer service approach
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE standard
- Highly organised and able to work on own initiative as well as within a team to fulfil targets
- Diligent in your work with the ability to challenge and seek new ways of improving work processes
