Puppet Deployment Specialist - EU-Client - 70 days Initial, Perspectiv

We currently have an URGENT vacancy for one PUPPET DEPLOYMENT SPECIALISTto offer his/her services within a European agency (client) in The Hague to start ASAP a 70 w/days contract (initial) in an EN-speaking environment. Extensions are possible, up to 400 days until year 2020. Our client is an international Organisation and a great reference in any CV.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Technical review, assurance and design for deployment
- Prototyping of deployment in sandbox (manual steps)
- Scripting of deployment (puppet, bash, RPM etc.)
- Testing and bug fixing deployment
- Documentation of the deployment steps
- Release promotion
- Release packaging
- Release deployment (dev test install environments).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 7 years of experience in Technical review, assurance and design for deployment
- Experience in Scripting of deployment (eg puppet, bash, RPM etc.)
- Experience in release promotion, release packaging and release deployment
- Linux - knowledge of RHEL 6.x/7.x administration, handling Linux services and filesystem management
- Puppet - knowledge of Puppet 4 configuration management tool*. Creating or editing modules, maintaining Hiera datasets
- GIT- knowledge of version control principles for software release management. Knowledge of branching, merging and creating release branches/tags
- Maven (RPM plugin and versioning basics) - familiar with maven tool and basic knowledge on configuring pom.XML files for RPM packaging
- TFS - familiar with Team Foundation Server platform for code management and release
- Bash Scripting - familiar with bash Shell Scripting techniques
- RPM packaging - familiar with RPM package creation (package versioning, preparation and post run steps)
- YUM repositories - familiar with YUM binary repositories configuration and rpm package signing
- DevOps principles - familiar with Continuous Integration/Delivery principles, agile software development methodologies
- Working knowledge of English: B2 in needed
