Public Sector ERP Delivery and Demand Creation Executive

This position is for a Public Sector ERP Executive in a growing national ERP implementation practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage client projects; develop strong relationships with clients, and manage client expectations throughout the implementation.
- Lead and mentor functional and technical resources throughout the ERP implementation
- Grow staff within the public sector ERP practice
- Work with partners and public sector ERP business development resources to drive new business.
- Lead and actively participate in key aspects of the proposal/business development process
- Work with the team on the overall strategy for the proposal
- Help drive the project estimate and services pricing
- Outline the approach, proposed timeline and assumptions (typically fixed fee projects)
- Work with the technical team on any development-related items and costs (eg customizations, integrations, data conversions, etc.)
- Identify proposed staffing for the proposal
- Learn the Dynamics AX solution at a proficiency level to propose on work, and lead teams through successful delivery. Typical business areas include: General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Projects & Grants, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets
- Travel expectations - 50%

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous consulting experience
10 to 15 years of experience implementing business and technology solutions for clients
3 to 5 years of experience managing the delivery of public sector ERP projects, primarily at the state and local level
3 to 5 years of experience assisting with the sale of ERP services and software in the public sector, primarily at the state and local level
Solid experience developing fixed fee proposals for public sector ERP projects
Solid experience leading and managing fixed fee projects
Experience leading and working with technical resources regarding installation, custom development and other technical activities required to successfully deliver a large scale ERP project.

Strong familiarity with governmental financial and operational processes, including:
o General Ledger, Financial Reporting
o Budgeting
o Procurement
o Accounts Payable, Cash Management
o Projects and Grants
o Accounts Receivable
o Fixed Assets
Experience successfully building teams and developing staff
Strong communication skills

The following items would be nice to have:
o Familiarity with the following governmental processes:
HR/Payroll
Treasury Management
Utility Billing
Maintenance/Work Order Management
o CPA desirable but not required
