You will need to be a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer or have several years post-graduate experience in the design of bridges with the intention of becoming chartered imminently. As well as bridge design, you will also need to be experienced in bridge maintenance and management alongside design experience in concrete, steelwork in trunk roads and highways.
You will be expected to manage the delivery of the 2014/2015 bridge inspection programme as well as bridge/structural maintenance and strengthening and replacement programmes on time and in budget.
