Public Sector Business Manager

You will be taking the lead for the production and maintenance of planning and governance tools eg business plan, risk register, learning and development plan, people plan. Chasing progress and providing regular updates to SMT on actions.
You will also oversee:
* Taking an overview of budgets across the Directorate and working closely with Finance colleagues, helping teams to manage their budgets effectively
* Resource planning and staff recruitment - advising the Director on how to make best use of our people; keeping on top of where staff are and what they are working on; supporting SMT to regularly identify work that could be stopped, reduced or delayed to make way for new or expanded initiatives or to relieve workload pressures elsewhere. Supporting teams to produce well-argued and effective business cases to secure additional resources when required
Essential Experience:
-Strong organisational skills

-Budget management skills/resource planning
-Strategic thinking
