Public Relations Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Executive speechwriting, research, and message development.
- Promotes the company's brand, network, reputation and innovation efforts with both consumer and business media.
- Assists local leadership with media relations for marketing and sponsorship activities and provides strategic counsel on managing the company's brand and reputation.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with all types of local and state media outlets, including print, broadcast, online and social media.
- Executive speech writing; pitching stories and securing positive coverage; writing and editing news releases and speeches; and responding to and developing answers to media inquiries.

SKILLS

Must have expertise in executive speechwriting, with at least 5 years of Fortune 500 corporate communications experience. Established relationships with local media required. Excellent Microsoft Office skills needed. Previous Telecom experience required, as is previous experience as company spokesperson. Must have strong knowledge of and interest in social media and experience executing public relations plans and writing speeches for executives.
