Public Relations and Social Specialist

SUMMARY:

- Works with Marketing leadership to develop tactical Public Relations plans.
- Handles media inquiries, creates media opportunities and works with public relations agencies to get favorable stories in the press.
- Works on projects related to researching, writing and editing press releases white papers and other related documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provides support in communicating the corporate image through researching, writing and editing, press releases, white papers, speeches and other related documents.
- Assists with the development and execution of tactical PR plans.
- Handles media inquiries, creates media opportunities and works with public relations agencies to get favorable stories in the press.
- Helps coordinate PR activities such as media events and trade shows.
- Work with cross functional business partners to identify new PR opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications or related field
- 2-5 years of marketing or PR experience.
- Strong communications and writing skills and experience creating content that varies in tone and format
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Public Relations/External Communications/Media Relations
- Looking for someone with some Public Relations/External Communications/Media Relations. This is not a social media role.
