Excellent opportunity for a Public Health Commissioning Manager to be responsible for planning, commissioning, implementing, performance monitoring and evaluating public health programmes in line with agreed local and national priorities and for managing/monitoring a delegated budget.

The role involves developing and maintaining effective partnerships across the statutory, voluntary, private and independent sectors to plan cohesively for public health.

Responsibility for providing highly specialised advice and expertise on the development and delivery of public health strategy, policy and practice, with particular emphasis on the promotion of health and well being and NHS Health Checks.

As a member of the Public Health Department the post holder will be expected to support the development of the health inequalities agenda, NHS Health Checks and Public Health Aspects of preventing and managing long term conditions.
