Public Health Improvement Officer

We are urgently looking for an interim Public Health Improvement Officer to work for a Public Health Team across two London Boroughs.

The interim will contribute to and support a range of health improvement and disease prevention activities in support of strategic priorities of the Borough including:

- Scoping potential initiatives and investments
- Developing proposals for action with reference to evidence and in consultation with partners
- Producing options appraisals, business cases and project plans
- Providing project and contract management

You will support the Public Health Consultant in providing specialist public health support to GPs, commissioning, public health commissioning and other partners as required.

You must have excellent research and communication/influencing skills to advise and deliver on the most appropriate commissioning options to achieve desired public health outcomes. You will also support the commissioning team in assessing provider performance, evaluation of services and programmes and undertaking a range of project work.

We are looking for someone to start immediately but will wait until the New Year for the right person. This role is for an initial 6 months.
