Public Health Analyst

My local government client are currently looking for 2 public health analysts for 6 month assignments based in London.

We're looking for one senior public health analyst and one junior public health analyst.

The analysts should:

- Have experience of Public Health Intelligence in a local environment, and the data sources required for the work
- Be able to extract and present data in a way that is meaningful for Public health specialists
- Have a knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) (important for at least one of the positions)
- Understand Information Governance issues and the principles of handling sensitive data

Particularly important for the senior post will be the ability to:

- Work closely with Public Health Specialists to understand their needs and how to deliver them
- Have an exploratory and investigative approach to examining the data to derive the maximum benefit from it
- Work effectively with other analytical areas within the Local Authority
- Have experience of staff management, planning and allocating  work
- Deliver training on Public health intelligence to the public health specialists in the Local Authority
