About the role

The Public Access Transformation programme is set to improve services for the people of Milton Keynes. As Project Manager, you will develop and deliver the programme, shaping the future of customer service at the council. It means analysing and re-designing the customer journey, from the first point of contact to the moment of service delivery, while handling a range of key stakeholders. You'll need to build business cases, work with different areas to develop implementation plans and monitor improvements to the customer and benefits realization through channel shift. Working as part of a dedicated programme team, including IT colleagues, partners and service contacts, you will feel confident about challenging existing ways of working in order to improve customer service.

About you

This role calls for a strong project manager who has successfully led the development and delivery of strategies and projects. As such, you'll be able to engage stakeholders, meet deadlines, schedule resources and manage risks. What's more, you can manage teams and budgets, and build effective relationships. Your expertise is built on a degree (or relevant professional qualification/experience) and a PRINCE 2 project management qualification (or equivalent). You are also aware of key public access initiatives and familiar with the sensitivities involved in working in local government.
