PSD2 Technical Consultant

PSD2 Technical Consultant required to work within salubrious organisation from their offices in Harrogate, Yorkshire.

This is essentially a Hands On architectural role and it is required that you have strong knowledge of the overall architecture of major bank IT systems. It is imperative that you have detailed understanding of PSD2.

This role is to provide technical consultancy on the development of our clients PSD2 strategy. This will focus particularly on the interactions with banking systems and the TPPs and the add on services which clients can provide.

The purpose of this role:-

Support Product management in engagement with banks to understand how our client would interact with the banking systems required to support PSD2 and any value added services offered by the organisation.
Support Product Management in understanding PSD2 and the services that TPP's will offer as a result of the directive as well as any additional services which may be provided outside of PSD2.
Support LAS Solutions Delivery in understanding the APIs required to interface with both the TPPs and the banking systems.
Provide support for the design of the APIs and the design of additional IT services to supplement the transaction processing services for PSD2.

In terms of skills and experience

Detailed understanding of banking system architecture across all types of payment systems.
Strong understanding of PSD2 and its implications for banks, TPPS and processors.
Technical understanding of APIs and the delivery of APIs to access systems.

It is expected that a suitable candidate would have a numbers of years working in a senior technical role within a financial institution and have a wide range of experience of different banking systems and services as well as recent experience of the delivery of API functionality within a financial institution. The candidate should have recent involvement with PSD2 within a financial institution or third party processor.
