PS Core Network Specialist Consultant

PS CORE NETWORK SPECIALIST CONSULTANT to TDC Altco program -

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Define guidelines (continuously) on how to monitor Ericsson Core Nodes and Core Interface load with respect to capacity
- define KPI's and counter expressions
- Handover the daily monitoring process to FO, BO, SQ/NPM team and other parties
- Follow up on the continuous monitoring process. Is it up to date? Secure that the monitoring is done
- Secure that the correct and relevant capacity thresholds from Ericsson is used
- Agree on the internal escalation process when capacity limits are exceeded
- Discuss Core Network design with TDC and Ericsson and make sure that the capacity thresholds are respected (not responsible for design)
- Participate in Ericsson Roadmap presentations as TDC Agent representative
- Be updated on Core Network expansion lead times
- Be updated on Core Network Life Cycle Plans and validate Ericssons proposal to mitigate end of life products
- Core Network transmission monitoring setup
- Participate as capacity specialist in Core Network projects (project management assist)
- Evaluate and comment Core Network tests carried out in test bed and pilot
- Write SOP-IA on Core Network part
- Analyse Traffic Forecast impact on Core Network
- Produce, present and agree on capacity forecast to TDC
- Inputs; Traffic Forecast Review, TDC Strategy, Customer Requests (via TDC)
- Capacity Upgrade planning >= How to Remedy capacity shortage (new H/W, new nodes, parameter changes)
- Knowledge of GSM, WCDMA, LTE feature impact
- Risk analysis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS-WORK EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

- University degree or similar in telecommunication or electrical/electronic engineering or business school.
- The candidate must have good knowledge of PS Core Network architecture and functionality, IP transmission and PS Core Network performance monitoring (load and utilization).
- Over 3 years communications industry work experience, no less than 2 years in the PS area
- Has been handling large-scale projects/Organizations
- Motivated by working in a multi-cultural work environment.
- English is the working language
- Customer centricity, has the good teamwork spirit and interpersonal communication skill
- Has the good objective guidance, with ability to adapt to the work culture.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

- Familiar with the following core systems
- SGSN/MME,GGSN/MPG,HSS, AVG,SAPC,DPI,DNS
- Knowledge of PS Core counters and performance monitoring tools is preferred
- Good communication and presentations skills.
