PS CORE NETWORK CONSULTANT (CONTRACT) - IRELAND - COMPETITIVE DAILY RATE
THE COMPANY
ConSol Partners client is a Multi-National Telecommunications Operator based in Ireland with a renowned reputation as one of the industry's fastest growing companies in both innovation and size now with employees located internationally and working with globally recognised Operators.
THE ROLE
As PS Core Consultant your role will be to provide high level and low level design documentation for the Operators PS Core Network.
- Responsible for the technical delivery of solutions under your control for Mobile Packet Core (MPC) and Enhanced Packet Core (EPC) networks.
- Responsible for technical interworking with cross functional delivery teams including network (RAN, Transmission, IP, Service Layer, and PS) and IT delivery specialists to enable the delivery data core design solutions.
- As part of the data core design team be responsible for the production and management of design documentation for the solutions and elements under your control.
- Support, with the project management functions, the production and management of robust and cost efficient delivery plans to ensure that capabilities are delivered to requirements, on time and without negative impact to the service and business KPIs.
- Be a key escalation point for operational and validation issues and co-ordinate vendors and internal teams to formulate action plans to resolve technical design, test and operational issues (defect and performance).
THE INDIVIDUAL
- Good working knowledge of 3G MPC elements and associated interfaces, including key protocols including GTP, Radius, Diameter, RANAP and MAP.
- Good working knowledge of 3G networks on an end to end basis.
- Experience of deployment of key network systems through the delivery life cycle from initial design to full operational handover.
- Good working knowledge of tunneling techniques that are employed between networks including GRe, L2TP, IP Sec.
- Good experience and knowledge with LTE EPC network.
- Good practical skills in troubleshooting and fault resolution.
- Experience of the commercial deployment of and MPC or EPC network, which could include design, test and/or deployment.
- Experience of working with NSN core network systems.
