Protocol Test Engineer

For our customer, an international telecommunications company, we are currently searching for a Protocol Test Engineer for a project in Munich

PROJECT START: asap

PROJECT DURATION:6-12 months plus

LOCATION: Munich

TASK DESCRIPTION:

- GCF / PTCRB test execution, retest, CR submission and verification of bugfixes
- Test specification, test case implementation, validation, execution and analysis for protocol stack relevant features on protocol test systems
- Test result reporting for GCF/PTCRB and internal feature test
- Failure analysis of UE traces (protocol stack and firmware) and system simulator logs
- Liason with other departmentsREQUIRED SKILLS:
- knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 signalling flows
- Layer 2, Layer 3 Protocol stacks eg RRC/RLC
- experience in mobile telecommunications network or mobile platform testing and verification, 3G, LTE
- test equipment usage - Rohde&Schwarz, Anite, Anritsu or similar
- experience in GCF / Conformance Testing is a bonus
