Prosecution Solicitor

Background Capita are recruiting for Prosecution Solicitor to join a central government department on a contract basis. This role is based in Leeds. This position will be predominantly responsible for prosecutions of Child Maintenance offences, which comprise of a number of special statutory offences, plus fraud, theft and conspiracy offences in child support cases. This work is undertaken by a team of 5 comprising of one qualified lawyer (this post), 2 non-qualified paralegals and 1.5 administrative assistants. Skills and Experience Required You must be a qualified Barrister / Solicitor and be able to display: 1 Technical knowledge of criminal law 2 Experience as a criminal prosecutor 3 Technical knowledge of civil enforcement law 4 Experience managing criminal caseload and client relations 5 Experience managing a team Capita Resourcing welcome applications from all suitably qualified people regardless of gender, race, disability, age or sexual orientation.
