SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in underwriting quality business through our Intermediary based customers
- Provide quotes within Authorities set by management
- Assist with preparation of renewals
- Refer risks outside underwriting authorities to Underwriter - Team Leader
- Preparation and follow up of risk improvements
- Handling general telephone inquiries regarding policy information or technical product questions
- Assisting Underwriter - Team Leader where necessary
- Provide support to Underwriters & Underwriter - Team Leader during their absence from the office
- Provide mentoring and guidance to Underwriting Assistants & Underwriting Administrators

CANDIDATE SKILLS, STRENGTHS AND ATTRIBUTES

- Suitable candidate has at least 1-2 years Underwriting
- Strata experience is a huge plus
- Tier 2 compliant
- Experienced in writing business in other territories will be an asset
- Drivers License
