My Manchester based Public Sector client is seeking a Property Solicitor/Property Senior Legal Officer for a 9 month contract.

Key Tasks for the Property Solicitor/Property Senior Legal Officer:
* Carry out legal work and provide advice (property) as required including the drafting preparation and review of any necessary documents. Deal with all aspects of property transactions (transactional and complex/commercial).
* To provide legal advice to the client
* Deal with straight forward landlord and tenant matters, report on titles, RTB's etc.
* To be responsible for ensuring that clients legal arrangements are kept under review and changes in the demand/nature of the Property legal service required are anticipated, proposals developed to deal with such changes and any associated staffing and resource implications

Experience/Knowledge Required for the Property Solicitor/Property Senior Legal Officer:
* Ability to effectively manage a heavy and complex caseload of commercial property transactions from instruction to completion
* Significant experience in drafting legal documentation for negotiating and completing high value and complex property transactions particularly relating to major regeneration projects.
* Knowledge of and the ability to understand and interpret the law and rules and give detailed legal advice both orally and in writing relating to Land Law, Conveyancing, Landlord and Tenant Law, Local Government Law and Policy and Procedure
* Excellent leadership and management skills with a proven ability to develop, motivate and engage legal staff, whilst maintaining a positive performance culture capable of delivering tangible service improvements.
* Ideally the candidates will hold a recognised qualification as Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives with post qualification experience in Property Law.
