Property Repair Co-ordinator (Void property) - Public Sector - Contract - Kilmarnock

My client has an opportunity for a contract Property Repair Co-ordinator (Void property) to manage a void property repair team.

The individual will be required to co-ordinate the void property team to deliver a quality void property repairs service in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the clients key objectives; specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value.

Responsibilities:
*Provide a void property repair service to the housing stock.
*Ensure that void property repairs are completed within agreed targets, to lettable standard, within budget and to the satisfaction of customers.
*Ensure that the void property repair service is achieving year on year improvements and value for money and customer satisfaction.
*Ensure effective resource management in order to meet service demands utilising the appropriate management information systems such as Opti-Time and Masternaut.

Requirements:
*The candidate would preferably have a significant local Authority experience working in a managerial role overseeing Void properties.
*They will be required to manage a team of 10 officers and 45 craft operatives whilst liaising with Area Housing Teams therefore it is imperative that they possess managerial experience in a similar type role
*They will require to have a clean Police Record

Other Essential
*HNC/SVQ Level 3 in a Housing or technical related subject or equivalent demonstrable experience
*Performance management and service improvement in a customer focused organisation
*Management and development of employees including the implementation of HR policies and procedures
*Managing and monitoring of budgets
*Knowledge of performance culture within Scottish Housing
*Knowledge and understanding of building industry regulations
*Microsoft Office packages
*Good IT Skills
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Knowledge of health & safety legislation and implementation of work practices
*Ability to participate in an on-call, out-of-hours repairs management service

Desirable
*Degree in a Housing related subject
*IOSH Managing Safely
*Co-ordinating and delivering a void property repair service
*Awareness of CDM Regulations and practices
*Driving Licence
