Reporting to the Fund Accounting Manager this Investment Manager requires an individual on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract to oversee the Property Fund Accounting team and deliver strategic business and departmental objectives.

Principal Accountabilities:

*Proactively manage the Fund Accounting Team consisting of 3 Property Fund Accountants
*Implement department strategy as necessary through staff.
*Ensure team structure supports the service provision and workflow is organised appropriately.
*Perform daily, monthly and quarterly accounting (as required) and also perform reviews of primary accounting records, ensuring Fund Accountants follow predetermined controls and procedures.
*Identify processes and service enhancements, or potential risks, to ensure the client service provided is of the highest standard and remains fully compliant.
*Manage the resolution of complex outstanding items, business issues and rectify anomalies to ensure high-level of customer service.
*Undertake quality assurance of work to ensure errors are minimised.
*Maintain detailed knowledge of platform operation processes and system.
*Continuous review of team procedures, policies, systems and issues. Recommend changes to procedures and implement, ensuring that they are scalable, repeatable and efficient. Participate in department wide reviews of procedures where appropriate.
*Work collaboratively with peers to share best practise and create awareness of issues throughout the department.
*Produce insightful and meaningful MI reporting to management highlighting trends, analysis, errors.
*Responsible for sharing market information to relevant internal departments. Identify issues/changes which impact teams across Investment Operations
*Recruit, manage, develop and engage team members seeking continuous improvement in both quality standards and productivity.
*Ensure team proficiency through pro-active performance management. Proactively identify training and development needs of staff
*Robust management and implementation of projects/initiatives.

You will ideally be a Part qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent and have a strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge with proven experience of managing a team, equivalent to like functions.
