Property Financial Controller

Seeking an experienced property accountant to manage a portfolio of properties for our national retail client.

We are currently assisting a well-known retail organisation with their search for an interim Financial Controller, to take ownership of their 700+ portfolio of properties across the UK.
Working as a key member of the UK Finance team, the role will be accountable for creating and developing the strategic plans for all retail stores.

Responsibilities will include:

- Creating and managing weekly reports for new stores, refits and relocations
- Management of spend and investment analysis to analyse ROI and support future decision making
- Financial control and appraisals of investment of all property capex spend
- Providing business partner support to the Head of Property, working together to make commercially beneficial decisions and assisting with strategic plans for the next three years
- Line management of a small team within the Property division

Operating a 100% leasehold ownership of their stores, the company is looking for someone with significant demonstrable experience of managing a large portfolio of properties within a retail/FMCG environment. The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification from a recognised accountancy body (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have experience of managing individuals within a finance function and be able to influence decision making among senior level stakeholders.
