Project/Test Coordinator - Infrastructure Projects - Banking, Brussels

BACKGROUND :
My client is a Brussels based international bank; they have a massive programme of infrastructure projects across multiple platforms (IBM Mainframe, UNIX and Windows) and are looking for additional resources with Project/Test management/co-ordinaton skills.

TASKS :

You will be working as a project Co-ordinator for the testing and deployment phases of the projects with the following tasks:

- Build a cross-platform testing and launching strategy based on a risk approach;
- Plan, manage and report on the testing activities (from preparation to execution and defect management, using Quality Centre);
- Organise the launch activities in pre-production and in production;
- Coordinate efforts with major stakeholders in the company, potentially from different locations, and obtain sign-off from them on key deliverables;
- Follow the company's Project Life Cycle and its associated deliverables.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Several years experience (minimum 3 years) in Infrastructure project testing.

. Minimum 3 year of Test team management experience.
. Experience in financial sector and working in a large company with complex technical environments.
. Cross platform knowledge, mainly UNIX and Windows;- risk based testing and V-model concepts;
. Good knowledge of Quality Centre.
. With a good understanding of technical aspects and technical testing, you are able to coordinate various teams in different divisions parts of the bank: you have good organisational skills (managing several projects in parallel).
. Familiar with defect management;
. Flexibility (in infrastructure projects, deployment is often done in down time).
. Knowledge or certification of ISTQB and/or ITIL, or similar IT frameworks.
