PROJECT SUPPORT MANAGER/PMO

Main Tasks:
-For the two programs "Instrument Assets" and "Software Project Services", we are looking for an experienced Project Manager (m/f), who will work 50%, of his/her time in each program. You have the opportunity to join two multinational teams, managing the continuous improvement of our current key workflow lab automation systems. Below both programs together with the responsibilities are explained: For the "Instrument Assets" program within the department of Governance and Services, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager. Our team consists of 5 projects including around 50 people and our allocated budget is CHF 10 Mio. You have the opportunity to join this multinational team. The instrument assets program operates in the area of reporting, database engineering, localization, code signing, tool portfolio and license management. Thru collaboration with our internal world-wide software projects the team evolves the tooling to meet the continuously changing needs.
-In this role you will collaborate with the full team to understand, plan and track the progress of the individual projects, to maintain a consolidated overview and support the communication within the team but also to the outside. You will be given the responsibility for the harmonization of the project set up regarding project planning, project implementation, progress- & cost control and communication.
-Further tasks: Support of set-up of program cockpit together with Program Leader & team (=overall program reporting tool to check bugs, reports status of individual projects, amount of risks and risk categories, employee fluctuation, reporting of how many hours spent on maintenance/new releases). This includes program planning, program implementation, progress- & cost control. Ensuring harmonized set-up and reporting for all program related projects. Set-up and adaption of relevant PMO processes and structure in alignment with PPMO and relevant stakeholders and ensure process implementation within the Program.
-For the "Software Project Service team" (also within the department of Governance and Services) you will be supporting the creation of a team roadmap. Alignment and conduction on communication structure within the Program: Guiding team processes, ensuring consistency, transparency and optimization. Furthermore you will support the team with the organization of workshops. Handling of program meetings (organizing program meetings, setting the agenda, editing and distributing the minutes)

REQUIREMENTS:
-Project Management excites you. On the one hand you have profound technical skills in project management and on the other hand you are a great communicator
-Several years of project management experience in the diagnostic environment, focusing on product development projects, typically in the area of lab diagnostics
-Flexibility to travel up to 10%
-Good experience in Microsoft Office, especially excel, MS Project & MS Visio

EDUCATION:
-Completed studies in the field of engineering, natural sciences or comparable vocational training or further education.

Nice to have:
-Prior project management experience in an Agile SW development environment/Microsoft/TFS environment would be a valuable asset
-Project management certification (eg IPMA, PMI, PRINCE2) is an advantage
