Projektbeschreibung

Purpose

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Project Support Engineer shall provide a range of project support activities as assigned by the Programme Manager. The individual shall work as part of an integrated project team and be responsible for supporting the progression of a variety of tasks; including the planning, implementation, coordination and monitoring of project activities, to ensure all deliverable requirements and associated work tasks are accurately identified, understood, compliant and achieved in a timely manner, to budget and of the required quality. Also, creation of effective records and providing status reports and metrics, supporting project control and review activities including preparation for meetings, as requested.

Duties and responsibilities

* Providing project coordination and administrative support within a multifunctional project team in a technical engineering environment under the direction of the Programme Manager.
* Development and maintenance of suitably detailed work plans and schedules to support achievement of the overall programme delivery plan.
* Tracking, expediting and reporting on project tasks across the project team and identifying potential points of failure and implementation of appropriate remedial action.
* Performing analysis tasks as requested.
* Creation of effective records in accordance with Company procedures or conditions of customer contract.
* Maintaining configuration control of project data and ensuring data is identified and controlled in relation to its security classification.
* Setting up, maintaining and reporting analytical data/metrics as required.
* Assembling information packs to support meetings and project work flow.
* Supporting and attending internal and customer facing meetings when required.
* Developing and maintaining effective liaison within the project team, and with suppliers, sub-contractors, customers and partners.
* Any other duties commensurate with this post.

Person Specification

* A minimum of two years' experience and appropriate training; such as PRINCE2, in the control of projects from contract award through to delivery and acceptance in a technical design and manufacturing environment.
* An ability to relate to and adapt the skills necessary to successfully control projects activities of varying technical and commercial complexity.
* Ability to develop, implement and maintain effective plans.
* Good communication and organisation skills with ability to operate as part of a team.
* Motivated with a positive attitude and determination that task are accurately performed and completed on time.
* Good office computer skills in a range of applications including MS Office and MS Project.
* Commitment to quality with a good attention to detail.
* Maintenance of a valid current UK driving licence.
* Maintenance of a valid current passport.
