Project/Support Engineer

Project/Support Engineer - 12 months - Nottinghamshire based - utilities client

On behalf of Hyphens Utilities client based in Nottinghamshire, I am looking for a Project/Support Engineer for a period of 12 months.

You will be based within an Environmental Upgrade project team. This upgrade project offers a wealth of opportunity for individual's future development both within a project environment and within an operational business. You role will be to guide and manage Quality and Health and Safety requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
-Plan, execute and manage all works and activities safely Plan and manage packages of work as part of a major construction project in accordance with CDM regulations
-Create strong working relationships within both the project and station teams and with key contractors -Delivery of key project objectives and milestones
-Develop and implement engineering designs as appropriate
-Maintain project office systems, reporting lines, QA plans and project documents

Key Skill Requirements:
-Experience of managing Suppliers, Vendors, Contracts, Directing 3rd parties
-Power station operational experience
-Background experience in power plant/engineering/Project Management alternatively Boiler, Turbine, Electrical, C&I and Civils
-Costing and cost saving experience is required
-NEBOSH diploma or certificate, or equivalent safety qualification
-Experience of power plant engineering
-Excellent communication skills
-Strong interpersonal skills to enable the development of effective working relationships
-The confidence to challenge established practices and suggest imaginative solutions to problems
-Ability to prioritise effectively and differentiate issues in terms of importance and urgency
-The ability to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions
-Ability to work within and across teams
