SALARY: £14.00 per hour (Limited / Umbrella Company)

CONTRACT: Initially for 3 months, possible extension
JOB PURPOSE:
- To provide comprehensive & effective support to all aspects of programme & project management
- To provide software support tools advice to project teams to include the use & exploitation of PMPoint, SharePoint, MS Project, Visio & others.
- Promote the use of the PM SORP & Project Management Framework, specifically project status reporting & ensure conformance with agreed governance. In order to ensure that projects are defined, governed & managed in a consistent manner across the organisation
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree level or equivalent NVQ qualification or proven relevant experience of supporting business change
- Formal project management training to at least PRINCE II Foundation level or equivalent
- MS Office suite of programmes & SharePoint, plus project specific support tools such as Ms Project, PmPoint & Visio
- Knowledge of project / change management concepts & methodologies e.g. LEAN (or equivalent)
- Understanding of change management & its impact on people & processes
- Understanding of the potential of ICT to deliver service & efficiency improvements
- Knowledge of project management & organisational change / efficiency programmes
- Knowledge of working with senior managers & providing challenge to working practices
- Experience of taking a lead role within a project environment
- Awareness of the National & Local Government agenda, current issues & challenges
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Essential
- Experience of analysing & solving complex process & systems problems & supporting others to develop this skill
- Ability to successfully apply improvement methodologies, tools & techniques
- Excellent written & verbal communication & presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to gain the respect of multi professional teams, enthuse & motivate individuals & teams
- Strong group facilitation skills
- Excellent organisational & time management skills, ability to plan & deliver objectives within an agreed timeframe
- Experience of effectively handling multiple, sometimes competing agendas, meeting challenging deadlines & delivering under pressure
- Understanding of budget management including responsibility for financial planning
- Ability to build rapport & credibility with senior managers, members & Corporate Directors
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, presenting, advising, influencing, persuading & negotiating at all levels
