ROLE:
Our client is looking for a Project Risk Manager. In this role you will be responsible for establishing and executing project management procedures, especially risk management procedures, to deliver projects within scope, budget and time. You will drive operational project risk management with all respective project teams by continuously enforcing adherence to the risk management process, reviewing risk evolution over time, facilitating and challenging the risk assessment and ensuring appropriate reporting and documentation. You will be accountable for the maintenance of project risk registers and risk documentation according to company standards including enforcing of risk contingency management and linkage to project plans.

MAIN TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensures project teams manage project risks and opportunities appropriately to achieve project objectives. Works closely with all departments to ensure risk assessments are consistent and comparable between teams. Ensures proper risk linkage to project plans.
* Guides cross-functional project teams through risk management process from development to product launch. He/she is responsible for implementing, maintaining and instructing on project risk management procedures to deliver projects within scope, budget and time. Coaching of project team on existing risk management methodology.
* Manages project risk information to support Project Team decision making. May contribute to project team meetings by following up on risks.
* Creates and maintains project risk registers together with the involved functions, monitors project budget (contingencies) and risk evolution. Regularly communicates the overall status to the project teams.
* Drives project risk management within and across the projects as well as efforts to ensure resolution of problems/critical issues.
* Contributes to the preparation of project milestones.
* Drives advancement of PM community by developing and implementing suitable risk management processes/standards.
* Measures and reports dashboards and/or key performance indicators (KPIs) for project risks. May define KPIs (aligned with Project Leaders).
* Supports other Project Managers in fulfilment of their roles.

Must have skills:
* University degree or equivalent in a scientific or engineering field, or alternatively a technical training with equivalent work experience
* Preferred: Certified PMP (or equivalent)
* At least 2 years of experience in project management using standard processes (eg PMI, Agile)
* At least 1 year of experience in product development in an international Matrix organization, preferably in the healthcare or In Vitro Diagnostics industry
* Demonstrated applied project risk management expertise, preferably using relevant tools (eg ARM)
* Experience in process improvement and optimization, LEAN methodology knowledge preferred
* Skilled at managing, influencing, and challenging peers and stakeholders in a Matrix organization
* Ability to communicate effectively (fluently, eloquently, concisely) in both English and German
* Well experienced in Microsoft Office toolset (esp. MS Project, MS Excel)
* Experience in use of risk management tools (eg ARM)
* Preferred: experience with database management and VBA macros
