Project Portfolio Consultant for Multinational Client in the Hague

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROJECT PORTFOLIO CONSULTANT TO WORK AT OUR MULTINATIONAL CLIENT IN THE HAGUE

EXPECTED TASKS AND DELIVERABLES BY THE CONSULTANTS

Weekly monitor the status of the portfolio of projects and structured activities.
-

Set up and maintain project portfolio registers (eg risk, issue, milestone, decision and dependency registers).
-

Create consolidated reports for governance bodies - contents and timelines for delivery in accordance with the Operational Project Portfolio Management Framework.
-

Create requests for portfolio changes for governance bodies and ensures follow-up of decisions in accordance with the Operational Project Portfolio Management Framework.
-

Create, maintain and track project portfolio plans (includes tracking of portfolio milestones, dependencies and deliverables).

Create, maintain and track portfolio financials.
-

Propose improvements to the portfolio framework in the Office and support implementation of improvements.
-

Facilitate project portfolio related meetings.
-

Update internal procedures and related documentation.
-

Manage the risks relevant to portfolio success.
-

Identify dependencies inside and outside the portfolio and ensure these are managed.
-

Manage portfolio changes.
-

Lead the communication and escalation of portfolio issues.
-

Communicate to and advise Project Managers and other project stakeholders on portfolio management affairs, explain related processes, provide supplementary information.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE

-

Master degree with minimum 8 years hands on experience in project management and at least 3 years of experience in a Project Office in an IT project environment

MoP (Management of Portfolios) Practitioner Certification
-

PRINCE2 Practitioner certification
-

Excellent knowledge of and experience with standard Project Portfolio Management Methodologies
-

Excellent knowledge of and experience with standard Project Management Methodologies
-

Experience with project planning tools, eg Microsoft Project
-

Knowledge of and experience with software development, IT infrastructure and IT security projects (Agile/SRUM)
-

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-

Experienced with financial reporting and analysis
-

Very good time management skills, having the ability to deliver within strict deadlines
-

Good communication and presentation skills, having the ability to communicate clearly with different levels within the organisation, including senior management
-

Proactive attitude and the ability to anticipate foreseeable issues
-

Familiarity with enterprise applications such as MS Office, Lotus Notes, SharePoint, JIRA
-

Very good planning skills, including management of parallel tracks and activities
-

Being active in a multi-cultural environment, the Contractor's staff shall have a very good level of English (oral and written).
