Project Planning Manager

My client a leading energy provider in the UK is currently seeking a Planning Manager. The project is a large scale IT transformation project aimed at consolidating and replacing existing IT systems into a new suite of Applications. The project is a +£75m, 100,000 man day project with several phases and software 'drops'. It includes software development Delivery, Business Change & Implementation and PMO embedding them quickly into a complex project, with good attention to detail and highly organised by nature.

The key requirement of this role is to integrate the Project plans across the project and to report progress into the Management Team for the project. A main duty will be to liaise with workstreams to ensure that dependencies, weekly activities and progress are controlled.

The person required should come with expertise in planning tools such as MS Project, Visio, etc. Ideally you should have experience of working within large multi-million pound programmes for IT Systems implementations such as Oracle/SAP etc. This person will have the ability to identify and manage key dependencies across workstreams and identify critical paths across multiple workstreams. You should have the ability to identify and manage key risks and issues and have experience of producing weekly management reports on milestones and dependencies.
