Project Planner (Primavera, Suretrak or MS Project)

Project Planner - Primavera P3e. SureTrak, MS Project and/or Methodology Manager - engineering qualification - based York - 12 months Fixed Term contract (maternity cover) - salary 25 - 30K

We are looking for a Project Planner who has knowledge of project planning software applications such as Primavera P3e. SureTrak, MS Project and/or Methodology Manager

Candidates for the position of Project Planner (Primavera, SureTrak, MS Project Methodology Manager) should be Degree/HND qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline for the rail environment or have equivalent experience

Experience of project planning within an engineering environment would be preferred and experience in the rail industry, ideal

The role of Project Planner (Primavera, SureTrak, MS Project or Methodology Manager) will be to update and manage the programmes in accordance with company procedure, and distribute the programme outputs as directed by the Senior Project Planner/Planning Manager.

Day to day duties will include:

* Producing resource/cost loaded project programmes
* Keeping programmes updated and reviewed with the project team on a weekly basis
* Collating information to produce fully resource/cost loaded tender and project plans
* Holding/attending weekly reviews with the project teams
* Providing weekly update reports e.g. value earned, milestone adherence, summation curves, CPI, SPI etc
* Working with the commercial and financial teams to accurately state the financial status of the project
* Providing input for the production of short, medium and long term resource plans
* Supply information and supporting the Senior Project Planner in preparing monthly status reports
* Supporting the Company in the implementation and development of its Primavera and IFS products
* Deputising for the Senior Project Planner on occasion

Candidates for the position of must be able to supply accurate, fully resourced/cost loaded programmes and be an active productive member of the project management team able to take decisions on all matters that have an important long term effect

Hours per week will be 35
