PROJECT PLANNER - LARGE-SCALE DATA CENTRE MIGRATIONS - OIL AND GAS

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to work on a migration project. Responsibilities include planning for and participating in all aspects of one or more projects, effectively estimating and monitoring project factors such as cost to be within an agreed scope, ensuring realistic plans are in place and tracked against and providing effective team leadership.
Skills and Experience:
1. Experienced Project Planner with minimum 5 years' experience, preferably with recognized PM qualification
2. Develops and maintains overall migration plan which integrates all project plans in order to identify and manage inter-dependencies and milestones.
3. Defines and implements planning standards across the project and in conjunction with Business Unit and technology, ISP planners (and maintains consistency with other Business areas)
4. Develop and maintain MS Project template(s) and process for integrating project plans
5. Excellent communication skills interfacing with technology and business stakeholders;
6. Provide assurance/review of business/technology project plans to ensure compliance with overall plan, standards and viability/deliverability of plans;
7. Ensure Business to identify/escalate/resolve exceptions to base lined Business plans;
8. Experience in migration of large scale applications and infrastructure programmes, preferably in data centre relocations.
9. Preferable location in Calgary or London (If located in London, candidate must be willing to work during Calgary business hours)

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
