Project Planner Engineer - Primavera - South Africa

PROJECT PLANNER ENGINEER - PRIMAVERA - SOUTH AFRICA

We are looking for a 'Independent Contract' P6 project planner that has excellent skills using Primavera (P6). The role is located 200km from Johannesburg, South Africa. You should have a track record in Project Planning with recent commercial experience of working with Primavera (P6).

The role could turn into a permanent position after a certain period with the company.

You will be supporting an outage and will be required to produce and monitor project plans using Primavera.

Skills Required:

- 2 years plus experience of Project Planning using to Primavera
- Up to date commercial experience of working with Primavera
- Engineering background preferably

Key areas:

- Production and maintenance of project plans using Primavera in line with company standards and the project structure
- Regular progress reporting liaising with Project Managers and other senior staff
- Assist in the analysis of costing reports received by project managers
- Ensure plans are realistic and consistent with estimates of costs to complete
- Monitor programme continually against performance
- Incorporate programme variations
- Programme report to client/management
- Anticipate problem areas regarding critical paths and advise remedial action.
- Take a proactive role in managing client interfaces, and interfaces with other contractors.
