PROJECT OFFICER/PROJECT PLANNER - WEST MIDLANDS - CRB CHECK, ESTATES, FACILITIES, BUDGET MANAGEMENT, REPORTING, DOCUMENTATION, NHS LEGISLATION SURROUNDING WATER, ELECTRICAL AND BUILDING NOTES HTM

JOB TYPE: 3 MONTH CONTRACT TO START ON THE 2ND JANUARY

Location: West Midlands

RATE: £130.00-£180.00 PER DAY

Outsource UK Ltd is looking for a Project Officer to join a Leading NHS Client on a contract basis.

TO APPLY FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY YOU WILL HAVE:

NHS industry knowledge would be advantageous
Estate/Facilities Management - You will have experience of NHS Legislation including Water ( HTM04) Electrical (HTM 06 low voltage) and Building Notes
Budget management including capital and revenue
Project Reporting/Documentation Management
Will need to have a current CRB Check
Be able to undertake estates condition surveys and inspections
Driving Licence will be required.

THE CLIENT:

Large NHS organisation made up of 3 hospitals and various community locations.
You will manage the day to day management of all of the estates, and will be the authorised signatory for the capital and revenue scheme budgets and procuring and selecting assets/services for the projects.

You will bve responsible for the estate management and moves and changes of staff and people. Your role will be to manage the estate and make sure that any buildings are fit for purpose for their new occupants.

This role will be based in Dudley, West Midlands, which is commutable from Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Walsall, Stourbridge and West Bromwich.

THE JOB:

Working as a Project Officer the jobholder will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including:

- Lead on schemes and supervise and manage estates project teams,
- Delivering high quality and value for money building services across the Trust's property portfolio, ensuring all projects comply with all Health and Safety regulations, NHS standards and other statutory requirements.
- The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the Trust's capital program and revenue schemes, including new installations, as defined by the Estates and Capital Planning Group (ECPG). .
- The post holder will ensure all estates databases and property registers/records are updated with appropriate documentation (eg asbestos, legionella etc) and drawings.
- The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of estates specialists brought together to form Estates Project Team(s). These Project Teams may include external contractors, internal estates professionals or a combination of both.
- Duties will include procurement, contractual and performance compliance, value for money, legislative compliance and the delivery of NHS initiatives as well as hands on technical advice/support to maintenance staff and contractors.
- As part of the delivery of estates projects, the post holder will need to undertake estates condition surveys and inspections and evaluate them to ensure works are completed to a satisfactory standard before authorizing payments.
