IT PROJECT MANAGER FOSTER CITY, CA CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

This candidate will join the Corporate Information Technology Project Management Office (PMO) and will be responsible for successful project delivery while working with matrixed teams comprised of all ranges of technical and business personnel. A successful candidate MUST be PMP certified and have significant IT Project Management experience and superb business-facing communication skills. The ability to manage outsourced development vendors and work effectively with multiple business partners. Payment industry experience is a definite plus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience leading technical teams in the delivery of software development, operational and integration efforts
- Undergraduate degree in technical or business discipline required (equivalent work experience will be considered); advanced degree preferred
- Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems preferred
- Must be PMP certified (NO exceptions)
- Demonstrable experience in managing several concurrent medium-scale high profile projects with extensive executive stakeholder participation
- Experience in facilitating multi-tiered project governance processes
- Expertise in MS Project 2010 schedule management including understanding the role of robust WBSs
- Strong understanding of mature business requirements traceability processes
- Strategic thinking and the proven ability to engage and influence senior and executive management

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL

- Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
- Direct a mix of internal and outsourced/vendor, geographically diverse resources for project delivery
- Ability to establish and sustain effective, professional relationships with IT and business managers
