Project Manager with Guidewire Experience

My client a large multinational in the insurance sector is looking for a Project Manager with Guidewire. The contract is for a minimum of six months and will match market rate. The contract is likely to roll on and be a long term contract.

The candidate will be responsible for the operational management of distinct mid-size local/regional projects or mid-size projects of a program and ensures that the overall project objectives are clearly defined and met. These projects are characterized by medium complexity, medium change and communications elements and important business impact.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Successful implementation of projects, ie:

- Selecting appropriate processes required to meet the project objectives;
- Using a defined approach that can be adapted to meet requirements;
- Supports the sponsor in the setup of the project or program
- Identifies, defines, combines, unifies, and coordinates the various project management processes and activities within the companies Project Management Framework (ZPMF).
- Makes choices about resource allocation, makes trade-offs among competing objectives and alternatives, and manages the interdependencies among the project management areas.
- Ensures that the project includes all the work required, and only the work required, to complete the project successfully.
- Develop budgets
- Manage and lead the team responsible for achieving the project objectives.

REQUIREMENTS: DESIRED

- Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - for IT projects and programs
- Procurement policies
- ITIL service management - for IT projects and programs
- Governance
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification required
- ZPMF Practitioner certification or equivalent required
- Recent exposure to IT infrastructure services within the Financial Services industry desirable
- Proven experience of working in IT Infrastructure, with IT Infrastructure refresh or Data Centre moves
- Server migration is desirebale
- Scrum is desirable
